The following recipes all feature our Phillippi Fruit products. Some of these are by us, some by others, all of them delicious.

APPLEJACK RABBIT

2 oz Phillippi Fruit Applejack
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz fresh orange juice
1/2 oz maple syrup

Add Applejack, lemon juice, orange juice, and maple syrup to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds, and strain into a chilled coupe.


JACK ROSE

2 oz Phillippi Fruit Applejack
1 oz lemon juice
½ oz grenadine

Pour the Applejack, grenadine and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.


TIDAL WAVE

1 1/2 oz Phillippi Fruit Applejack
4 oz orange juice
Splash of cranberry juice                                                             

Pour over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a slice of orange.


CHERRY LIFESAVER

1 ½ oz Phillippi Fruit Applejack
1 ½ oz amaretto
1 ½ oz cranberry juice
Dash of bitters

Pour Applejack, amaretto, bitters. and cranberry juice into cocktail shaker half filled with ice.  Shake well, strain into a martini glass.  Garnish with maraschino cherry.


HOT GINGER APPLE CIDER WITH APPLEJACK

4 cups apple cider
2 tbls light brown sugar
4 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
2/3 tsp ginger or fresh ginger
4 oz Phillippi Fruit Applejack
4 cinnamon sticks

In a medium saucepan, bring apple cider, brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon and ginger to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 10 minutes. Remove pot from heat, cover, and let it infuse for 10 minutes.  Add applejack and pour through a strainer into serving glasses. Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick if desired.


APPLEJACK RITA

3 oz Phillippi Fruit Applejack
2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
1 oz simple syrup, recipe follows
1/2 to 1 teaspoon orange liqueur (triple sec)
1 tablespoon Lime-salt-sugar, recipe follows

Simple Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. (Alternatively, heat in the microwave.) Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month

Lime-salt-sugar:
Zest of one lime
2 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons sugar

Blend together lime, salt and sugar in a small blender or mini food chopper

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice,  orange liquor and simple syrup. Cover and shake until mixed and chilled, about 30 seconds. (In general, the drink is ready by the time the shaker mists up.) Place lime-salt-sugar on a plate. Press the rim of a chilled rocks or wine glass into the mixture to rim the edge. Strain margarita into the glass.  A splash of cranberry juice is a nice addition.
